The Anatomy of the Rain
雨 is a pictograph. Can you see it? The top line represents the sky, the “box” is the cloud, and the four small strokes inside are the raindrops falling. 🌧️
Visual Tip: If you see the “roof” with four dots inside, it’s water falling from the sky. It’s one of the most recognizable kanji in maps and weather icons.
Why it matters in Games
In games, rain isn’t just visual. In Zelda, it makes surfaces slippery; in Pokémon, it boosts Water-type moves and weakens Fire. Next time a storm starts, look for the kanji 雨 in the weather UI or Japanese signs.
