Few things change the gameplay like a sudden storm. From the slippery cliffs inย Zelda: Breath of the Wildย to the neon-lit puddles ofย Cyberpunk 2077, rain (้จ) sets the mood for every adventure, this is Rain Kanji.

The Anatomy of the Rain Kanji
้จ is a pictograph. Can you see it? The top line represents the sky, the “box” is the cloud, and the four small strokes inside are the raindrops falling. ๐ง๏ธ
Visual Tip: If you see the “roof” with four dots inside, itโs water falling from the sky. Itโs one of the most recognizable kanji in maps and weather icons.
Why it matters in Games
In games, rain isn’t just visual. In Zelda, it makes surfaces slippery; in Pokรฉmon, it boosts Water-type moves and weakens Fire. Next time a storm starts, look for the kanji ้จ in the weather UI or Japanese signs.
Side Quest: The Cloud Test
Draw the sky, the cloud, and the 4 drops of ้จ three times. Make sure the raindrops are all falling in the same direction!
