There’s something deeply satisfying about building a space that feels calm. Not just visually clean, but mentally clear. Lately, I’ve been working on a personal project that reflects exactly that idea: an open-air acrylic wall mount PC build.
More than just a custom PC setup, this is becoming part of the philosophy behind how I want to work, study, and create. A clean space is a clean mind. That sentence has been living in my head for a while. And in many ways, this build is my way of turning that idea into something physical.
Why an Open-Air Wall Mount PC?
Most setups try to hide the PC tower under the desk. I wanted to do the opposite, I want the machine to become part of the space itself. By mounting it openly on an acrylic panel, the setup feels lighter, more intentional, and almost architectural.
The transparency of acrylic is what makes it special. It doesn’t visually “weigh down” the room. Instead, it creates a floating effect that keeps the workspace open and breathable. That sense of visual lightness is a big principle in minimalist desk setups, where reducing visual clutter often helps improve focus and creativity.

I spend a lot of time at my desk. Some days it’s for designing. Some days it’s coding. Other days it’s studying languages, writing posts, or working on Player’s Garden. Because of that, I’ve realized something important:
my environment directly affects my mind. When my desk feels cluttered, my thoughts feel cluttered too. A clean setup doesn’t mean an empty setup. It means that everything has a purpose.

And the PC itself becoming part of the aesthetic.
Minimalist workspaces are often recommended for exactly this reason: less visual noise can mean fewer distractions and better concentration.

I don’t just want a desk. I want a place I genuinely want to return to. A space that makes me excited to sit down and build. Something that feels halfway between:
